this was trash and a MASSIVE waste of my time. i never would've picked it up if i had seen the 'for fans of acotar and from blood and ash' bit in the blurb but i guess we all make mistakes sometimes just like the author did by putting this terrible book out into the world

I’d heard good things about this series so I added it to my TBR — then tried the “pick your next book” feature on Fable and ended up here. No regrets.
I loved the writing style and the way the story drops you straight into Oraya’s strange, intense world. Her “family” setup? Wild — and so intriguing. She’s such a great character: strong, sharp, but still soft and vulnerable underneath it all.
Raihn had me instantly. Watching their slow-burn tension shift into something deeper was everything. And the ending?? My jaw was on the floor. Oraya winning, bringing him back, and then that final twist… they love each other, but now they’re enemies again. Pain!
Absolutely recommend if you’re into dark fantasy, court politics, and deliciously complicated romance.
