This is my first Kitty Thomas read and I can guarantee it won't be my last.
I loved this story. It wasn't the typical BDSM book, the romantic side was taken away. The 50ish style of BDSM is getting to be completely over done if you ask me. Guilty Pleasures stepped away from that. Coming at BDSM from another angle, which I loved.
The dominating scenes were well written and very hot. I could see where it was going to go but I completely enjoyed the ride to get there! The characters were done well, especially Gabe and Lindsay. Brian was a scary dude but I think the story required that element, to show it wasn't all a fun time.
Great read! Can't wait to see what's next.

She hated her husband, it was abuse. The ending was not resolved in a satisfactory manner.

Guilty Pleasures was not what I was expecting. I prepared myself for a much darker read (which would not necessarily have been a bad thing).
The twist at the end was obvious fairly early on but even knowing that, did not detract from the story at all. I really enjoyed Gabe's character and would love to learn more about him, and I also was intrigued by Brian and the back story between him and Michael. Definitely not a fan of Michael.
Am hoping there is more of this story continued in another book/branch out.

This author always manages to walk the fine line between consent and blackmail under the pretence of BDSM. She also manages to create scenarios where it is harder to decipher if someone is good or bad. That was the case with this book. A nice surprise twist at the end. I would have liked more future in regards to a conclusion. Otherwise, solid book.
