Short, fast, and engaging. Concepts I've never read before with interesting characters!

Loved this. Fell utterly in love with the characters in under 400 pages. That said, it was only a 4* read instead of a 5* because it was under 400 pages. While it was a perfectly satisfying read, I would have liked to know more about the world outside the dunes.

Whoops. Read it in a day. Still amazing the second time around, even 7 years later.
Howey’s writing is so fantastic to me. The worlds he builds feel so real and this is no different. I am entranced by this world made of sand. The way different stories come together is something I think Howey excels at, across series.

Where silo is pg-13 mind f*ing sand is rated r insanity. Amazing I don't think this author can write books fast enough for me at this point. Looking forward to starting across the sand.

After reading Wool/Shift/Dust and I was kind of disappointed by this one. It wasn't bad it just doesn't really stand up to the other books that he's written. I came in with high expectations. It was worth reading but I don't think I would ever read it again.

I adored it, personally. It helps that I live in Denver and part of the mythology of Sand is heavily involved with Colorado, but that only piqued some interest and curiosity.
In all it's well-written, fun, and I felt very invested. I wanted more out of it at the end, but even though it feels cut-off, like Howey got bored and needed to tie things up, I didn't let it bother me too much.
I liked the characters, I loved the world that Howey painted, and while the plot frayed at the end, I still really loved what he did, and I wish there was more! The entire time through I could see all this being a movie, and wish wish wish it would become one!
