One of those books that compel you to come back again and again throughout your life. Absolutely loved it. The writing is lyrical and poetic.
Most of the themes are explored quite well, however some fall short of the mark. As a 24M, I resonated with so many of the things this book had to say. Excited to come back in 5 years and give it a reread.

I have read excerpts from the prophet dozens of times and every time I read them, I take something new away from Kahlil's words. Poetry has a way of meeting the moment despite being unchanged. I especially love Kahlil's words 'On Work,' both timeless and inspiring advice.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the book - but to me it is clearly a religious philosophical read, teaching the core Christian values. It remind me stark of the typical 10 commandments but is not a book i would read for a second time. It was ok but nothing new to me.
