Love me some Smoke and KK! Wish there was a book2. I’ll miss them. Smoke did NOT PLAY about his son and his KK.

This book was amazing! I loved it so much. The story and characters were perfect. If you're into spicy romance, you HAVE to read this one. You won't regret it.  This is my first book by this author, but definitely not my last.

I liked but didn’t love this story. Both Kaori and Smoke had to grow on me as characters. They definitely had chemistry though. Smoke was kind of a hypocrite when he said Bri shouldn’t smoke with Solo in the house but he did the same. The surprise baby was definitely a surprise. KK said she didn’t play with anybody calling her the b word but she used it all the time. I felt like some things got skipped over. Was Bri really pregnant? Did his dad win the election? What info was found to get Noah get free?

I didn’t like the insinuation that stretch marks are ugly and nasty looking. I feel like the writing got a little sloppy towards the end.

3.75

The pregnancy trope was not what I was expecting.
Although it's my lowest rated trope, I enjoyed the book.
What I didn't like is unfinished storyline. There has to be more to Noah, Bishop, & first lady.
Besides that I almost hated the Smoke. I didn't like him shaming his baby mama. A mean mmc is a sure fried way for me to hate him. He did eventually redeem himself.
The narrators are some of my favorite so the production was great. At this point, when it comes to audiobooks I know who to listen to.
Why I rated this book 3.75. It simply could've been better. I want more developed relationship between the couple. Go into more detail about the his family drama. It could've been fleshed out more.
