Keystone & Beyond is essentially a very extended newspaper or magazine article about the tar sands in Canada and subsequently the Keystone Pipeline XL. It is a decent summary of the history of the issues surrounding both, although I would not say it is terribly in-depth. It was written on par with a well-written magazine article but not engrossing. It is, overall, a serviceable introduction to the tar sands and Keystone issues.
