I don't know if it was the characters, or that this book just wasn't executed like the first, but I didn't really like it. Even just reading I was considering one star which I don't do often. I didn't, because there were bits of it I liked, but I think these two are my least favourite partners in an erotica ever.

There was too much sex. Yes, in an erotica most of them have a lot of sex, but I felt a lot of the time here, instead of adding to the story, because it's not JIST erotica, there was random and pointless sex scenes that were the same as all the others.

There's obviously a paparazzi issue where errybody claims he's cheating and she believes it and feels insecure. I hated its execution and it felt like they were both being stupid.

I like the diversity of characters, but not the fact he's a stereotype and talks a certain way etc. I also didn't quite see the point in his mothers role in the book besides Carmen feeling pushed out. And I didn't see the point in starting so far back to when they met. There could have been flashbacks or something instead because it felt like there was a lot of two weeks later and stuff, jumping forward in time to get to points.

I like his I they and the realistic reactions he was having of jealousy and having a few selfish thoughts but I pictured the recovery going so different and for him to push her away with anger and stuff but they kind of just fell apart for silly things before realising and coming together a little too easily. And he just magically could play for a long time his first game back, the Super Bowl. Yeah okay.

So this was my first book with the daddy/little girl dynamic and not sure I am sold. I did know that going in but I was so taken by Natron in the sample that I one clicked it. There were some parts that I found unpleasant - the pony play scene seemed a little over top, particularly the end of that scene. While I liked that the relationship between Natron and Carmen developed over a lengthy period of time, I didn't really feel their connection. There was some considerable time spent on football and the intricacies of the game and while I liked that, I would have liked to see them together more. There was some attempt at the beginning to introduce Carmen to the lifestyle but I thought she was a little too accepting of it at first. I am not in the lifestyle but I thought Natron, as Carmen's Dom, was a little irresponsible. It is my understanding that a Dom takes care of his submissive and a drunken beating with a belt was not cool. Yes, Carmen should have safeworded but still.... Also, for this to be categorized as an erotic romance, there wasn't much eroticism. A little too much Natron and football and not enough Carmen and Natron. But I have downloaded the first one in this series which I look forward to reading.
