There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book. TJR does it again!

I put off reading this one for awhile because Evelyn and Daisy set such a high bar, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about a book about Tennis. I absolutely loved the book. I have not connected with a character like I did with Carrie in quite some time.

Just a fantastic story with so much growth. I did not want it to end.

Man this one took me a while to get through. I love TJR’s writing! I breezed through, and thoroughly enjoyed, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Malibu Rising and Daisy Jones and the Six, and had high hopes for this one too, but I could not get into it. I didn’t have the urge to pick it up and read it each day and I wound up scanning through a lot of the matches. I didn’t care for the main character, I was bored. I’m sorry. I’m glad it’s over and I can move on to the next book.

god taylor jenkins reid never fails to make the most rootable and irreparable characters you’ve ever seen.
I wanted her to win because she needed to AND lose because she needed to. I wanted her to prove that she’s a bitch to everyone. I wanted her to dominate while also getting put in her place and I feel like I got that.
Also loooovvveeee the Panama representation 🇵🇦 I pictured Pedro Pascal as her dad the whole time
