It's, erm.. definitely a product of its time. I enjoyed it, and I think I probably still would, it's just..... you really have to turn your social justice brain off for this one, in some parts, I think.
Moderate: Cultural appropriation, Misogyny, Sexism, Xenophobia, Sexual harassment, Child abuse, Racism, and Trafficking
Minor: Slavery, Violence, Abandonment, and War

I loved a glimpse into the pevensies’ lives as rulers, but the overall story wasn’t that compelling to me. It also seemed to be drawn along lines of race and religion that I didn’t exactly love. Lewis also has a tendency of creating complex and interesting female characters then shoving them to the side in favor of his male characters. Truly a missed opportunity in my opinion.
Graphic: Slavery
Moderate: Misogyny, Religious bigotry, Racism, War, Injury/Injury detail, Child abuse, Sexism, Sexual harassment, and Trafficking
Minor: Rape and Sexual violence
