I actually think I ended their duet liking johnathan? Not no where near as much as other characters but I don’t dislike him anymore so there’s that! The story itself still felt just meh. Honestly this could’ve been one singular book since it was just the same thing over and over then bam action the last what 20% maybe? I didn’t care for aurora or them together but fuck the things he would say were so good🤣 I loved getting more aiden and Levi and Elsa and Astrid. I REALLY didn’t like Margot being behind it because she had it set up as her basically being a mother figure for the boys and I don’t like that they lost that now. The relationship itself just still feels weird idk I can’t get behind it. But I did enjoy the story just not as much as I could’ve.

“Aurora is mine, and I’ll bring chaos to the world to protect what’s king mine.”

Jonathan really went from a ruthless man to a sad puppy for Aurora in this book and I am not even surprised. He is still an over the top protective and possessive asshole with lots of money but atleast he's showing his other side as well. There is more emotional connection between Aurora and Jonathan and it's not just limited to dom-sub sex realtionship. They still are horny for each other and Aurora can't get enough of little Johnny but there are more sweet and caring moments in this book and which is why this book was better than previous one. I am happy for Aurora because she deserved the happiness after years of running away from it and she finally have it all. The family she deserved.

“You don’t have to protect me. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I can’t protect myself.”
“I’m not protecting you because you’re a woman. I’m protecting you because you’re my woman.”

Not gonna lie but I was swooning reading this scene
