Everything but the last three hours, 5-stars. The last three hours, 2-stars. I love Kai. I just didn’t like that ending and the time cut was too cookie cutter for me. But the rest of the book, so good!

It’s really my own fault for continuing with this series after book two was so repetitive that it could have been an email. But I pushed through, mostly casue
I needed to be able to call Kai a whiny bitch if he was butt hurt about Paedyn accepting Kitt’s offer instead of dying. And he WAS a whiny bitch the entire book!!! You had so many chances you loser! You made your bed now lie in it

There was so much nonsense. The formatting was a nightmare. The way information is released was so disjointed. The characters motivations came out of left field
kitt’s plans make no sense for his actions!! Also, his decent into madness should have started all the way in the first book. He KNEW there was a chance that peadyn was his sister, and STILL tried to marry her? Also his the way he talked about his BROTHER was so oddly homoerotic. Why was there so much incest in this book?!? And then they named DAUGHTER after him? Get away from me. I hate it

Just like every other book it needed two or three more round of editing. It needed to cut at LEAST 3k words of nonsense.

The plagiarism allegations are not going away with this book.

Overall it was 50% derivative nonsense, 25% horrible dialogue, 15% Kai and Paedyn being annoying
we can’t be together, but we will flirt regularly and constantly infront of your fiancé who is also my brother but wait HOW does he know we still want each other? We’ve been so sneaky! Let’s have sex on top of my sister’s grave
, 7% actually enjoyable content, 3% incest.

This series just went downhill from the first book. Kai and Pae's banter/prose was enjoyable but also got repetitive with similar phrasing and not a lot of true tension or conflict (lots of avoidance). While there was a plot happening, it felt much lower stakes than it should have and like the solutions were not as difficult as was alluded to. The trials themselves made no sense in their purpose. It really felt like nothing happened with these characters for 80% of the book. The one big tragedy that happened before the 80% mark ended up being a fake that was revealed in the very next chapter, so it wasn't satisfying. There were so many plot holes that just easily explained things away. The twists and turns at the end were so convoluted and unnecessary, and while I didn't guess the twists I saw the overall outcome from a mile away. Kitt's characterization from the second book didn't match this book for about 80% of it, so the sudden switch in his character back to crazy Kitt was incongruous with how his character was portrayed for most of this book. His epilogue was weird and unnecessary, like it was meant as a consolation for the people sad about how his story ended. Also, they mentioned Adena SO MANY TIMES!!! I don't remember that happening in the second book, but it got really old. Also... is Blair dead or no? Ugh this book was fast paced and mostly enjoyable as far as prose goes, but the actual storytelling and writing was not good.

long story short this book is way too long, extremely repetitive, and full of twists that don't make a ton of sense, simply for shock, or are just... weird.

enjoyed the first two, wasn't crazy fond of the novella, and this one just... meh.

What a ride this book was.
For all the plot progression and world building that book 2 was missing, this one made up for it. It makes me dislike book 2 so much more now because the story could have flowed much better if some of the stuff in this book was in that one instead.
The foreshadowing throughout the series made it so that I guessed at many of the plot twists that took up the last half of this book. Not a bad thin I guess but I wasn’t ever completely surprised.
I wasn’t emotionally invested and I honestly don’t know why because I do like Paedyn and Kai a lot. I think the yearning went too far and got repetitive though.
I still have questions and there are things I don’t love but it was a pretty good ending to this series.
Kitt’s storyline was sad and a little out of left field with his obsession taking hold of him so hard. His spiral down was sad to read. I get what the author was trying to do it just felt a little forced honestly.
I could have done without the entire Blair storyline. That whole thing felt unnecessary to the rest of the book in my opinion.
I did love getting to see Paedyn and Kai living happily ever after with their Kit.
I felt like the epilogue in Kitt’s POV felt out of place and could have been in a different place chapter wise.

i did enjoy this, but not as much as i wanted to. i just feel like so many things were left unanswered or straight up didn’t make sense. mak?? done soooo dirty. also a lot of things regarding kitt didn’t add up. as much as i do love paedyn and kai… i think i was expecting something else from them based on how reckless ended. and there were parts between them that i feel like i should’ve enjoyed more, but they unfortunately just felt off to me :/ i am happy with the conclusion of their story as a couple though (plus kai’s quotes are 😍)

weirdly i enjoyed reckless a bit more. as much as i didn’t like its repetitiveness, the cat and mouse aspect was entertaining  and i had more fun with the banter and tension in that one. anyway, i know a lot of people really liked this, and i didn’t hate it by any means, but i just couldn’t help thinking it was a little all over the place. i feel like this series should’ve been a duology, with reckless and fearless being edited down and combined, and i would’ve enjoyed that way more

Great final book for this trilogy. I was feeling fine about it all until the ENDING. I GASPED. Shocked to say the least. Lots of both small and large twists that keep you intrigued and entertained.
