I really don't care what anyone says about this book, i absolutely loved every second of it.
Another YA read this month and this one had me turning pages faster than -something really fast. Short snappy chapters were genius, I felt like i was flying through the book.

I absolutely love cryptic puzzles, riddles and logic problems so this was an absolute winner.

The characters were ok, I didn't feel much for them and I got the Hawthorne brothers confused many times, but i dont care because i loved this book. I can't pinpoint exactly what made me love it so much, I just did. And now I am off to start book 2 😊

3.5/5 stars, this book wasssss, like i get the hype. I SEE ITTT.
first off I wanna start off by saying GRAYSONNN HAWATHORNEEEEEEE.

i loved xander, jameson was ok. he had no character development AT ALLL. this man would talk in riddles, and he was so unserious the whole entire time, and the way he treated very omg??? like HUH WHY IS HE THE MAIN LOVE INTEREST AND NOT GRAYSON?? and I'm not sure how to feel about this love triangle thing going on rn. like first it was with emily, and now history is just repeating itself with every, OMG POOR AVERY. she is living under the shadows of emily always being compared to her constantly. and don't get me started on nash. because why was there a random yeehaw cowboy billionaire's grandson here??? i don't like that man. but grayson hawathorne. OH GRAYSON HAWATHRONE. yeah. yeah. YEAHH..

This book was a lot of fun to read!!! I love the puzzles and the twists and it set up for the sequel very nicely. I hate when books don’t solve the plot until the next novel but this did an excellent job of continuing the story and still wrapping up some big points of the novel in the ending.

The pace was fast and slow at the same time, which works for a mystery novel like this. Some things happen in a page and other revelations happen slowly- granted the book is over like two weeks ish? I’m not really sure to be honest. There’s a little bit of somewhat intense action but it doesn’t feel out of place because of the gravity of inheriting SO much money.

Also I don’t wanna spoil but the gala situation had me SCREAMING

I also am unapologetically in love with these four dumb (but actually pretty smart) boys. This is definitely going to be a guilty pleasure reread book. The main character Avery is actually pretty like-able for me too.
