the relationships in this series are a mess like they don’t trust each other and by book three i would hope it would be better than this

arrans character got no justice i would have preferred if he didn’t eat that fruit since no relationship/character building is being done.

the magic stuff with talen was confusing as hell but oh well i’m still curious so i’ll still cont

im dying too much angst too much drama let them be happy pls I beg

Received an ARC.

Right after I read this I really didn’t know how I felt about this book. As always, with Pippa’s books It was well written and you heart starts going and then she stomps on it.

This book had all my emotions all over the place.
Pros: we finally get to know Kellee and Talen!
I knew I loved Talen and his crazy self and what he really is.
And finally, Kesh and Talen open up to each other (mind you towards the end of the book)

Kellee’s past had me in tears damn it. What he went through broke my heart and the fact that he had to relive it just had me in tears but with that being said it probably was for the better so he can start letting go. Kesh sees the real Kellee

Cons: Kesh gets me on my nerves in this book. She is all over the place. When she pushes Talen to open up and he does she runs away!!!!

She second guesses everything. (Idk if I haven’t really paid attention before is she was like this in the other books) but in this one she annoyed me for it. And because she kept it up. I wanted to throw my kindle.

Arron: I am just mad at his behind he is just a category on his own. I get it. I do. But why I was starting to like his new self until the end.

In the end I have a love/hate relationship with this book.

When I thought they're finally getting it on, another problem shows up. At this point, I don't know if I'll fall in love with the author for being a genius or throw a tantrum.

Also, I'm still unsure who belongs with her harem. I initially thought there'll be an enemies-to-lovers trope with Eledan and her but I haven't read that much about the Mad Prince.
Arran and her looked cute too but suddenly he betrayed her.
On the bright side, I liked their banter. Sota was so hilarious and Talen is... Talen.
Their smexy scene, though, omg!!

I'm loving this series so far and I'm off to book 4!

Just a heads up: this is a reverse harem and book 3 includes extremely low heat/spiciness level.

This series is so good! I can't put it down- I'm fully invested in the characters. The squad that is forming is really awesome. It's definitely an emotional rollercoaster with the perfect amount of darkness. There's tons of twists and turns so you never really know what's going to happen. At this point I just want Kesh to full on wreck house. The setting is so cool- I love the magical/fae aspect vs. the sci-fi/technology aspect. Such an original idea.

Happy she was with talen... but then she went to hooking up with Kellee straight after? She’s not going to be loyal to one man obviously

I wrote a review when I finished book one. But after that I listened to or read books 2, 3, 4, and 5 back to back, with no time between. So, I'm just going to write the one review for all of them.

Prior to this series, I'd read one Pippa DaCosta book and, while I didn't dislike it, I wasn't particularly impressed either. So, I was startled to dive into this series and want to stay for a while. I really enjoyed it. It's not perfect, but it's fun and everything wraps around itself and comes to a satisfying conclusion (something I feel like happens more and more rarely these days). I liked Kesh as a character. I loved Sota as a comedic side-kick and I appreciated that, even though this is a reverse harem, it isn't drowning in sex. It strikes a nice balance. All in all, a true success for me.

Kesh was still a very unreliable narrator so read with your own critical thinking cause she clearly did not have those. I also haaate how she thought one way then flipped 180 degree just a few pages later. Bitch please stay consistant, I'm getting so many whiplash. The bunch of our characters also acted like children. Angst were created by their unwillingness to communicate. They all have trust issue. And Kesh was making herself into a character that's very hard to like. Still I see a glimer of hope for things to get better near the end of the book.
