I had high hopes for this because I LOVE Lynette's other series, but this just felt like a less-good copy of Throne of Glass. I expected there to be some similarities because I know she was inspired by SJM for this one, but pretty much all of the tropes and twists are the exact same as TOG.

I also have no idea what any of the characters look like because their appearance was mentioned briefly (if at all) when first introduced and then never mentioned again, which really pulls me out of the story. But maybe that's just a me problem.

I still had an okay time reading this, I wanted to know what would happen in the story which kept me coming back. Though I definitely had to skim read some parts because it got verryyy repetitive.
