I don’t know why I tend to put off books for sooo long when I always end up loving them. Got to admit, I was a bit mad at Liz & I had to constantly remind myself that she’s dealing with grief & she’s just a high schooler - I probably would have acted the same if I was ever in similar situations hahah. But overall I loved Liz & her romantic, imaginative mind - I mean, what reader wouldn’t feel connected to her 🤩. Wes was literally perfect, as perfect as one could be. They both lacked in the communication area, like he went off on Liz for not telling him, but he could have done the same (later on in the book, not at first because she totally didn’t like him yet). I always say I hate friends to lovers - this was their trope once they actually became friends - & I’ve finally realized I just can’t/don’t want to deal with the tension, like I was stressing and close to crying over it, ughhh. But deep down I love this trope & these characters GIVE IT THEIR ALL. Excited to read book 2, although I’ve heard some sad things happen…..
