This book had been on my TBR for f*cking ever! I thought this would be the perfect palate cleanser (and it totally was), but it turned out to be so much more. I was surprised, this had no business being incredibly adorable, sweet, and hilarious. There was one scene that had me laughing nonstop, and the banter? Oh, the banter was bantering! I was such a giddy fool.
The characters kept the story alive. I was not bored one bit. And the music and rom-com movie references? Pure, nostalgic joy. I’m so tempted to rewatch some of the classic movies mentioned!
Then the emotions hit. It was angsty—the worry, the dread—it hurt so good! Lynn did such a wonderful job bringing it all together.

i’m not a huge rom com girl but i wanted to give this book a shot and i’m so glad i did
i loved the overall vibe and how 3D the charcters were, that being said i have a few thoughts
- i wish there had been more “enemies” in the troupe, they just warmed up to each other very quickly, but i do like how the book went right into their arrangement, just a little more enemies would’ve been good, but i also get that he liked her and it was a one sided thing but idk
- i had a love-like relationship with liz, i liked her overal but her choices made me sad sometimes, BUT i understood her choices and i liked being able to see her motivations behind them
- i don’t understand her dislike towards lacey, she was always nice to liz and i just hate the troupe of girls hating other girls who are nice because they think they aren’t, it’s just outdated
overall i enjoyed this book and it’s references of taylor swift, would recommend

Literally loved this book at first I found Liz annoying but then as a character she grew on me have to say I’m obsessed with Wes 100% recommend
