Review Blurb

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, but it completely captured me. I started it at 7am, and by 2pm—with only a few breaks—I’d binged the whole thing. The grief representation was excellent and gave me a new perspective on how people process loss. Liz herself? Insufferable at times, pick-me energy, and definitely not a girl’s girl—but written in a way that I understood her, even if I didn’t agree with her. I loved that the side characters constantly called her out. The atmosphere was perfect—nostalgic, end-of-senior-year vibes without trauma, and immersive in a way YA often misses for me. The pacing kept me hooked, though I wish the romance had developed earlier so the ending could explore more aftermath. As a YA rom-com, it nailed its tropes, stayed accessible for younger teens, and still felt enjoyable and refreshing for me as an adult reader.

GENUINELY didn’t think I was going to live this book as much as I did. It’s literally perfect. No notes. At all. Perfect story, perfect characters, perfect little ending (although I wish there was more 😩).

FOR REAL, if my future boyfriend isn’t Wes Bennett reincarnated, GET AWAY FROM ME I DON’T WANT YOU. DEADASS. He is beautiful and perfect.

This was rom-com perfection, and an absolute masterpiece of a romance novel. Daydreaming about the day I can make ketchup hearts with mine and someone else’s initials. Might have to actually buy this book for myself… And make the real life version of the Wes and Liz playlist on my Spotify.

Wes and Liz ILY ILY ILY.
