Excellent, this will be going on my short-list of books to recommend in multiple categories. Perfect length (find that many books of this topic/genre category drag on longer than they need to), well-written, and accomplishes a simple yet profound message.
Also comes at an important time in my life with deciding what sect of medicine to pursue.

This won't be for everyone but it should be required reading for anyone working in tech.
This book felt like an echo chamber for my thoughts, making me wonder if the author was secretly reading my mind. Confirmation bias at play

Stolzoff achieves the aim of creating a mirror to examine our relationship with work and its consequences. Throughout the book, I found myself continually saying, "Yes! That!" To be validated in my observations of America's obsession with work is common but always appreciated. I found Stolzoff's approach of naming and addressing myths as an effective way to order a complicated issue. Where does this examination leave us? Unsurprisingly, we need to examine and address our own relationships with work and be bold enough to follow our own wants and needs in a society that fetishizes work over mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
This book comprehensively covered all the issues about work as we know it today, on a personal and institutional level. If you have an unhealthy relationship to work, get started with this one.
