A beautifully written queer story about a monster and the man who loved him.

Raastava, lumoava, kuristava, upea.

This book is beautiful, but also absolutely heartbreaking. An emotional exploration of the impact of war and violence, and how it can tear people apart. Arsim is a highly complicated protagonist who is trying as hard as the reader to figure everything out and make sense of everything around him.

Significantly gloomier than my first read for pride month, but no less touching and important.

Not sure how I feel about this. It was brutal and often beautiful and I spent equal time hoping for Arsim to prosper and for him to perish in a sewer. I wish it had taken more time with itself and been a little longer. Regardless, Will be thinking about it for a long time.

The poetic writing, the tormented love story, the flawed characters, it’s real on every page. The author gives you a book full of emotions that will break your heart.
