Holy sht. This was really good. Prolly the first time I've really tried to solve a mystery along with the detective and the solution and conclusion was satisfying.
I guessed and picked Tokiko for the culprit for the Kazue and Azoth murders but not for the Heikichi murder (I thought Masako and her daughters did that because of the apartment/studio conflict) but hey at least I got Tokiko and that some switcheroo was pulled with the body parts in order for her to survive, I guess. But yeah I also don't like how the book sort of feels like it justifies her crime at the end. I mean yes, she was abused and hurt by the Umezawas but I don't think it justifies her killing them gruesomely
pacingnya slow & sempet mau drop tp trnyata makin ke pertengahan buku, makin seru & sejujurnya ini buku bagus, i really enjoyed the last parts... the buildup to the killer reveal & the murder techniques... keren dan gila.
Ive not finished books as fast as I finish a mystery, ex: Agatha Christie. But I've realized that a fatal flaw this book has that keeps me ever so uninterested is that the author is doing a lot of telling, not showing. Which makes sense bc it's from the pov of people in the future trying to figure out the murder. But I fear it's just a little too stagnant than my likinb. They're just talking, and talking, and talking.
I need a break, preferably something new.

I quite enjoyed it for what it was. It read very drily and was devoid of frivolousness or way too much emotional investment from anyone involved but it was a good change of pace from everything else I was reading. The whodunit was quite fun to read about and try to solve. Would recommend.
