3.5 - fun read

I love Neil Gaiman's children's novels. I love the whimsy and the sweetness and the adventure - and I love the reality of the story. I think that's just a Neil Gaiman thing, whether he's writing for adults or kids. This was a super-quick read, but a lovable one.

I am Norwegian, enjoy mythology, and like to read Neil Gaiman's work. I had every intention of loving this book. Did. And I would like another Odd tale, please.

I feel like I should have loved this, but just didn't. I listened to it, and maybe that was part of the problem.

Hm? What’s that? A SECRET EXTRA NORSE MYTHOLOGY GAIMAN BOOK? YES PLEASE!

Ok it’s not secret, it’s just children’s lit, which I never pay attention to, so it came as a surprise to me!

This was delightful. Read it to all your children. No, get them the audiobook and let @neilhimself read it to them. Loved it. 5 stars.

A wonderful little story of Odd, a young boy who finds himself on a great adventure in an attempt to bring spring to Norweign village. He finds himself helping Odin, Thor and Loki travel back home so he can engage in a battle of wits against the Frost Giants.

Cute story about a young man encountering Thor, Odin and Loki and going back to Asgard to remove the Frost Giant who has taken over.

A cute short story about a handicapped Norwegian boy who befriends the gods Loki, Thor and Odin. They were trapped in animal form because the frost Giants got a hold of Thor's hammer. This is an adorable book that teaches that anyone can become a hero. So sit by the fire and read an adventure.
