This was a fun cozy mystery. I really enjoy the characters now that we have gotten to know them better. I do feel the mystery was rushed at the end I would have loved that last part to be a bit longer.

I do feel the romance was a bit cringey at times. I do like Mark as our main guy but the I miss you stuff got a bit much. Still rooting for them though

each book in this series just gets better and better. the characters have found their footing and the setting is starting to feel alive. the things that annoyed me about phae in the previous books were buffed away and she seems to be learning with each crime she solves. of course, her mother still annoys me to no end but at least her harping about phae needing to get married was toned down to where it was only a topic of conversation for her a few times. i’m looking forward to where this series will go next bc it’s quickly becoming one that has a permanent spot on my shelf.
