Competition

This is the first book that I have read by either author. It’s not going to be the last. Not only did I stay up late to finish this book, it was calling to me to read it throughout my work day.

This is a great enemies to lovers book. I mean it is straight up bullying at its finest, but things change, situations happen. The one thing that doesn’t change it the competitiveness that is there between Gwen and Hamilton. I originally just borrowed it from the KU, but I loved it so much i had to purchase it.

One of the best bully, ennemies-to-lovers romances I've read. I was hooked from the beginning and finished it in one day. Great character development. Can't wait for book 2 in the series.

I liked it. It's a little predictable, but the best part are the Adams family values (See what I did there?). But for real, the way Mr. and Mrs. Adams accepted Hamiton into the fold gave me all the warm fuzzies.
At first, I found Gwen to be unbearably annoying. She basically said being in a home of rich, well-meaning, loving parents was somewhat worse than a drug addict parent. Like shut up, you're an ungrateful brat.
But then she points out all of Hamilton's flaws. Together, I thought they'd be obnoxious, but they're actually pretty cute.

I basically read this in one day. I REALLY enjoy these authors' writing styles. Yes, it's cliché and has a predictable plot, but the characters felt very real and 3-demensional. The dialogue is smart and not at all cringe or too simple. Love these writers.

Thanks KU for this book … if I’m remembering correctly. Also just proud of myself for finishing another ebook.
Gripping and steamy… the only thing I did not think believable was that the characters were high school seniors. Drama at school … yes. Being so adept at certain stuff and into their relationships that much, hard for me to buy into. But I liked the writing and the plot! So I guess I’ll suspend disbelief!

I still haven't made up my mind about what I honestly feel about bully romances. Imo most of them just feel cruel and I can't see how the couple actually can get past it. But at the same time they are quite addictive to read - which was the case with this book. I don't think I will continue the series though, the other characters didn't really catch my interest.

I have a couple more books with this trope on my kindle and perhaps I kind figure out why everyone else seems to think they are so amazing.
