real tears. i related so hard to kaia and her self-confidence/obsessive compulsions and so this book hit deep. CAME FOR A GOOD TIME AND GOT A HELL OF A GOOD TIME.

Finally got around to reading this after loving the first book so much (you don’t need to read the first book to read this though!)

I was loving it and felt more connected to these characters than the first book but there’s a part in the last 10% of the book that made me rate it 4 stars. Holden offers Kaia’s roommate, Lizzie, 10k to let Holden stay the night at their uni apartment because Lizzie complained he should be paying some rent for using their utilities. It gave me the ick.

The rest of the book was great and I could relate to Kaia’s struggles with anxiety and compulsion picking. I liked how any conflict was sorted almost straight away and not dragged out too much. Holden was really great at communicating and I’m glad Kaia became better at it with his help.

Overall, good book and would recommend reading!

Such a cute quick read with relatable FMC. Biomedical engineering queen who thrives on academic validation to the point of extreme anxieties representation. I felt very seen. And they seemed so real, with their own problems and their friends and families’ problems. Love

3.5 - liked their story but felt like it was a bit dragged towards the end and it didn’t grip me as much

ki has stolen my heart once again. i absolutely loved spring tide and it’s no surprise that i loved fault line either. ki has a way of making me fall in love with her books and characters from the first page. i mean god i was sobbing at the freaking dedication. i have never felt so seen than i have when reading fault line. i relate to kaia so deeply and she is incredibly special to me. to find peace in kaia and feeling like i’m not alone if the mental battles i struggle with on a daily is something i can’t put into words. i feel seen and understood and it’s so special to be able to feel like that. i would also like a holden in my life because he is so supportive and understanding and for someone like me and kaia, that it everything. i love him so much and adore his support and love.

ki, thank you so much for an arc! i can’t put into words what this book has done for me and will be forever grateful for kaia and holden.
