This book was probably one of the strangest books I've read this year. I enjoyed the premise a lot and I found the end of the book to be really fun, it just felt a bit disjointed at parts. It also felt incredibly rushed. Definitely a fun read but not one I'm dying to buy the sequels to.
If you need a new dystopian series to get into, I think this one is going to be a good one!
Bella is amazing how she sucks you in to her books so you can't put them down. On to book number 2 I need to know what happens.
I’ve read a couple books by Bella Forest and the premise is always so interesting, but there’s like 6-8books in each of her series and there’s always a cliffhanger. Idk. This book was decent enough and I might continue with the series.
I still cannot understand the concept of the lashes though, like I tried so hard to imagine these contraptions but just could not picture them in my head.

I picked up this book after reading The Gender Games by Bella Forrest. It's another of my favorite Genre in Dystopian Fiction. A young adult series that fits in well with The Hunger Games, Divergent and even Hugh Howeys Wool and Silo Series. I actually like this series better than Bella's Gender Games, I blazed through Book one in a couple days, well worth the read!
Good book, I like the plot and the characters! I will definitely read the rest of the series.

In a world where you’re ranked from 1-10 on how productive and positive you are, how helpful this makes to society, thinking about how unfair the system is a sure way to get a low score.
Liana is from a family of 10’s, but so far has been struggling to keep up. While on duty, she watches as a 1 miraculously turns into a 10 and is caught up in the underworld of the tower, where she finds it’s not only her that’s figured out the tower isn’t quite what it seems. Meanwhile, The AI who controls it all, Scipico, is becoming more and more dangerous.
The characters are brilliant, complex and loveable, and the pacing keeps you interested while not going too fast that it gets confusing. Bella sets the scene of the tower so well and slowly reveals its backstory as well.
Definitely much better than your average dystopian YA novel.

This is quite a unique story, excellently written at times, but I didn't really care for the characters and the MC was, for me, rather dull. Yeah, I get that she stood up against all that AI and stuff, but that was basically her character - I refuse to fit here, let's get out. So, 3.5 stars total, but I'll mark it as 4, for the sake of the writing and the idea.
