i gotta say, i just did NOT CARE. it felt slow, sloggy, and was way too shitty to lgbtq+ community. it still hurts to read queer authors filled with self loathing. i would like to see more discourse on Tom's potential aceism! while this was recommended on a list of must-read thrillers, i was very much unthrilled. i was, however, curious enough to look up a synopsis - and it made me wonder if i would have felt the "thriller immediacy" more if it had been written in first person?
Graphic: Homophobia, Suicidal thoughts, and Physical abuse
