This was an entertaining read but I feel like this story could go in forever and I’m not sure I want to stay on the ride.

I flew through this, but the ending was a little disappointing, especially as there are no plans for a book three (what?). I would call this (and all of this author's work) a guilty pleasure, but I don't feel guilty at all - these are fun, quick soap operas that know how to entertain.
COME ON there has to be more . . .

I’m convinced that this is actually a poorly written AU fic disguised as a sequel

I did like this book but it kind of infuriated me. Like, *really* infuriated me. While reading the first book, I was waiting for the moment Daphne would be revealed as the two faced bitch she is, but it never happened. I expected it to happen in the sequel, of course, but nooooooo, she got everything she'd ever wanted in the end. I mean, what the hell was that ending? That was NOT an ending. I'm just gonna pretend it didn't happen. WHY did she end up with Jeff? WHYY?
One thing I am happy about though is that Beatrice and Teddy ended up together. At the beginning, I was shipping her with Connor like crazy, but they weren't meant to be and I'm happy they didn't stay together. Sam and Teddy weren't going to work anyways.
Another thing though... is that I was so pissed Beatrice didn't fire Richard sooner. I have never felt so much anger towards a side character like this before. Honestly, the drama of this book was a lot for my little heart to handle. It was an emotional rollercoaster and as much as I enjoyed this duology, I never want to read anything like it ever again for as long as I live.
