Katerina Diamond did it again. The suspense of this book kept me turning the pages. I loved the fact that someone from the past came back that had both DS Miles and DS Grey questioning their morals. Can’t wait to read the next and find out what suspense is waiting for me plus where DS Grey’s and Miles relationship goes.

It was nice to be back with Imogen Grey and Adrian Miles again. However, I felt like too much of this book focussed on the blossoming relationship between Grey and Miles, and unfortunately I didn't care too much for this element of the story.

The crimes themselves were good but the reveals for the crimes (crimes I would usually enjoy) left something to be desired and it became drawn out in places.

The killer reveal wasn't particularly suspenseful. I also found it odd that the opening chapter was only relevant when recalled as a previous incident later in the book.

The story as a whole lacked the suspense of previous books in the series (The Teacher, The Secret & The Promise). Nevertheless, I'll probably pick up the next one to see what Diamond has to offer.

Sick Twisted and Absolutely Brilliant

Every time I read the next book in this series I think to myself how does Katerina Diamond do it, these books just keep getting better and better. Fat coward to the end of Truth or Die and I am literally sitting here with my mouth opening wondering how to give this review more than five stars!

The plot alone was amazing but then the twists and turns that she peppered throughout the entire book are just brilliant!

The story line definitely has some crazy sick moments which I absolutely loved and as always the personal life of both DI Grey and Miles makes you love them both even more!

I can not recommend this series enough to anyone who loves a great detective murder series....
Katerina Diamond’s Imogen Grey Series... read it... you will be happy you did!

The fifth in a list of titles by Katerina Diamond, this book really takes you on a journey to discover more about the characters we’ve grown to love! I’ll be honest, I found the first half of the book more exhilarating than the second, but nonetheless, enjoyed some of the twists and turns on offer.

Firstly I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book, and what a book it was. I loved it from start to finish, I have read the other books by this author and this one was one of the best yet. I would note though that it is best to read all of the books in order as the story continues throughout the books. I definitely recommend.

This fast-paced crime thriller is a book I would recommend as Katerina Diamond did not disappoint. The twists and turns were more than enough to hold my interest.

I love how quickly I got through this book. I didn’t want to put it down and always wanted to know what they were going to discover next. Another thing I enjoyed was that Diamond did a good job of describing the crime scenes without going over the top. The scenes were tastefully done without being too graphic for those with a weak stomach. I also enjoyed the progression of the relationships between the various police characters. The author left strings for additional books down the road.

This is book 5 of a series, and having not read the previous 4, I was impressed with how gripping the story was right off the bat. I would say you don’t have to read the first books to understand what is going on, but I will now add them to my reading list to get the back stories of the main characters.

Having not read the previous books, I was confused at the beginning with all the police acronyms of titles and “speak”. I also felt that the book just ended and the “who done it” conclusion was weak.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books UK for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
