wonderful!

Asher and Phoebe are amazing! Shush a super sweet romance story. Had a few twists that I definitely didn’t see coming but over all a sweet read

First of all, asher is a cop. Or, to be more specific, a SWAT member. And he is saying: "I want to kill him for hurting you. I would tear him apart and show the world what a coward he is." But I repeat... he is a COP. If he weren't a cop I would have believed him, I WOULD! And it would have been sooo good. But it's just fucking unbelievable when he is a cop.
But he also has great lines like... "You are going to wreck my world, and I'm going to let you." See?
Those none cutesie romances don't work with cops.
Also, what I didn't like was the "plot." It just wasn't any good. It wasn't even a plot, but it's okay. It was cute. The rain and all? Cute.
I really loved Olivia and the signing and all. It was good. That's it.

okay. new Corinne Michaels fan over here and I may just need to dive into her backlist for the rest of the year 😅

SINGLE DAD. NANNY. AGE GAP. FORCED PROXIMITY. do I need to go on?

Phoebe and Asher have this wild chemistry from the beginning even though they keep saying they hate one another. Oh, and just to add a little fuel to the fire, Asher’s boss is Phoebe’s dad😆
Also, Asher’s daughter Olivia, is the sweetest little girl and I love that we get some representation for the Deaf community. While I’m not familiar I loved that aspect!
Sugarloaf is not only the cutest name for a fictional small town, but it’s also got such a great group of characters that I am hyped to keep reading about! Highly recommend this KU small town romance!

This was my first Corinne Michaels book and it did not disappoint! I loved phoebe and Asher, loved the ASL representation in this book and I actually learned a lot. I really loved this little world and the cast of characters. I didn't see the twist at the end coming. And I loved how there was no third act break up, even though there was conflict happening. And I loved how supportive Asher was of Phoebe, and how he wanted to be part of her life but didn't want to take away or have her give up her dreams to do it.

This was a big miss for me, starting with the FMC. I understand being a big hot mess, but she read as if she lacked maturity.I purposely sought out an age gap romance and this just did not hit.

I didn’t believe in the characters chemistry and the plot twist made me lose even more interest.
