Oh my heart- Corinne never fails to capture me completely. I love for her small town, heart-hitting romances, and Forbidden Hearts was an emotional, sweet, and so very sexy beginning to the Whitlock Family series. The tenderness, the heartfelt connection, the forbidden flair- GAH, I was so obsessed with these two. And the tropes! Nanny-single dad, small town, age gap- I live for them all. I loved watching these two find a pathway to a friendship and then a deep and powerful connection. And our hero is just the SWOONIEST- I love the way he shows up for heroine. Plus- no third act breakup?! AH Corinne- you found the way to my heart. Their chemistry is so swoony and layered, and both characters are so easy to fall for. We have meaningful moments, fun, and emotional moments too- I could not help but fall madly for them both and this lovable new series. I can't wait for more!

I liked the characters and how they brought out the best in each other and were supportive especially at the end where it counts. There was so much focus put on their age gap and it felt weird for him to comment on when he knew of her when she was younger, not that he thought about her like that then but it just felt a bit weird. There was a lot of talk around power dynamics and predatory behaviour because of her previous relationship and their age gap and employee/employer status which are important conversations to have but really took me out of the story and made me think about it all and how it could apply to their relationship as well.
Also, hate a fully grown woman calling her dad 'Daddy'.
I did love Olivia and how well Asher and Phoebe did by her, she was fully included and I loved their relationships. I liked how much effort Phoebe put into helping and understanding Liv and how they got along.
I also liked how Asher priotised Phoebe's life and dreams and wanted her to succeed and not hold her back.

This was my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I loved the story and the relationship that was portrayed. Ea h character was special in their own way, but made this story more beautiful. I love a dysfunctional-ish family and it made me smile. I did listen to this on audio, it was perfection!
Absolutely recommend.

Good story. I would have liked to have seen more of Jonathan and him paying for what he did.

I’m not going to lie and say the writing in this book is excellent or that the plot didn’t have me rolling my eyes every 5 minutes. However, even though this book was filled with so many dumb romance tropes, I was enjoying every single one of them until it was revealed that she’s pregnant. At that point it felt like an unnecessary barricade considering everything else that was already stacked against them. There was too much to keep up with in this book.
