⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 👏🏼 This was soooo good! This is by far one of my top Corinne Michaels books!

The storyline kept my attention the entire time. It was suspenseful &I couldn’t put the book down. I loved all the characters! The spice was 🔥🥵

Asher’s daughter is deaf &so throughout the book they speak in sign language &/or talk &Corinne Michaels did a great job representing that. It wasn’t hard to differentiate when they were signing or not with how she wrote the story.

I love how she referenced back to some old characters from her other books &even characters from Melanie Harlow’s books.

I highly highly recommend this book &cannot wait for book 2 to come out!!

I’d like to thank Vanetinepr &Corinne Michaels for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m still in the early stages of my Corinne Michaels era, but I can say in all honestly that this is currently my favorite book of hers. I am an absolute sucker for single dads, the nanny, the cute kid… but she took it one step further by making Asher Whitlock the most desirable book boyfriend ever… I mean COME ON. I can’t say a whole lot on the subject without giving spoilers, but his decision towards the end of the book?? I need me one of him.

This was an audiobook read for me, and I can truthfully say that Corinne Michaels has some of the greatest audiobooks out to date. The narrators mesh well together, and I’ve yet to listen to one and think that anyone’s voice is annoying (which is a common occurrence for me lol). I can’t wait to continue reading books of hers (also if you have a chart of all of Corinne’s books… send it my way!!!) so that I can truly be immersed in her worlds, but all I know is she hit this one out of the park and I’m in love.

I am definitely in my small town single dad era and this book fits right into that. Asher is a police officer and leader of the swat team. He works long hours and is on-call a lot because of that he is desperate for a nanny, the one he hired for the summer quit. The problem, his daughter Olivia, is deaf and the nanny needs to know sign language. That seriously limits the people available in their small town. His boss recommends his daughter Phoebe for the job.

Phoebe is home from her grad school program early, her life has kind of fallen apart and she is home for the summer to regroup and figure out her next move. When her father has her take the nanny job for Asher, Phoebe is not so sure, she has babysat for Olivia before and it did not end well. Asher is very rude to her and always grumpy. Asher is desperate so he gives Phoebe a chance. Phoebe is going to school to be an audiologist, a summer working with Olivia is just what she needs.

I loved so many things about this book. First, the relationship between Phoebe and Olivia is so sweet. Olivia is such a great kid and her friendship with Phoebe was fun to read about. The relationship between Asher and Olivia's mother was also excellent. It is great to read about parents who are actually friends, even if they are not together anymore. I also loved the age gap between Phoebe and Asher, there are 14 years between the two of them. And that became an issue once Asher realized there was an attraction. I loved Asher's family his siblings were fun and I loved his relationship with them. I also loved that Asher and Phoebe started out as a secret fling. It was only supposed to last the summer and of course feelings happened. Asher was so grumpy and didn't think he liked Phoebe, but the more he got to know her and started to like her, he really turned on the sweetness.

This book is excellent and I loved every minute of reading it. There are a couple of surprises in the book that I didn't see coming which just added to the book.

Read this if you like:
*age gap
*grumpy/sunshine
*single dad/nanny
*small town
*ASL/deaf representation
*forbidden romance (boss' daughter)
*secret fling
