I liked the first 60% of the book. I thought it was good. However, I PERSONALLY wouldn’t keep the kid… I’m emphasizing personally because to each their own and do whatever feels right for you.
And for me, I wouldn’t keep Jonathan’s kid.

I love that we are back in Sugarloaf with a new family. I also adored the fact that we get a single dad with a nanny situation. The wit and banter made me smile through this story between Asher and Phoebe. These two have history but Asher has no choice when it comes to someone to take care of his daughter. I loved the inclusion in this story as well. There are twists and turns that are dropped that add to the depth of this story as well. Michaels has given us a beautiful story and so looking forward to more with the Whitlock family!
I'm no stranger to Corinne Michaels and I think it's been a little bit of time since my read. I was totally in the mood for a hopefully cute single parent romance. But add on some romancelandia favorites like small-town, you'll be in for a treat.
I enjoyed this one and even better since I read in audio. The beginning was pretty funny between Phoebe and Asher, I really loved those first few chapters. And I liked the budding friendship between Asher's daughter, Olivia, it was probably one of my favorite parts of this book. They had an instant connection and ASL solidifying their bond even more.
There is a twist towards the end, I can't say that I cared for it, but it wasn't anything major to completely send me out of the story. I was a hoping for something a little bit more/new since it felt like I've read this story before.
Desiree Ketchum and Zachary Webber were a solid duo bringing these characters to life. I've listened to these two before and have enjoyed their narrations so far.

This was my first read by Corinne & definitely won’t be my last. I loved everything about this small town romance so so much.
This story is about Asher & Phoebe. Asher is the grumpy town sheriff who is also a single dad to a nine yr old daughter, Olivia. Olivia was born deaf & Asher finds himself in need of a nanny that knows ASL.
Phoebe is a grad student who is home early from school after an incident with her professor. She is the daughter of the Chief of Police in their small town. Her dad gets her the job as Asher’s nanny while she’s home for the summer since she is fluent in ASL with a degree in audiology. Asher isn’t too thrilled based off of a babysitting experience years ago where Phoebe had watched Olivia, but he’s left with no other options.
As time progresses, Asher is quick to realize that Phoebe isn’t the teenager he once knew & he’s extremely attracted to her despite their 14 yr age gap. With Phoebe living with them most of the time, it’s hard to avoid the connection they have. So what happens when temptation gets the best of them & their casual summer hook up turn into something more….
Asher was so freaking swoony. Give me a grumpy, possessive, dirty talking, single dad & I am done for
