I will live and die for a K.A Tucker book. The way she writes and has the ability to tie things together is honestly so beautiful. PLEASE check trigger warnings before proceeding with this one. It touches on some very dark topics but in my opinion is soooo worth it.

I can honestly say I haven’t read a book quite like this one. I was unsure at first how it would all end up coming together, but hot damn did it. Not only is Water’s story inspiring, I really loved that this was dual POV (first person 🙌🏻). K.A Tucker did an amazing job of highlighting the emotions and struggles of watching someone you love go through abuse and trauma. I won’t give anything away but I will say that Jesse is a 10/10.

Can’t wait for to read the next book in this series!

I made the mistake of reading the second book in this series first, so this one was kind of spoiled for me. That didn't ruin the listening experience at all. I just had a case of deja vu. The story was still just as good, and I loved Water and Jesse. This is well worth the read or listen.

What an amazing book. It deals with some dark and challenging topics but is so well written and the pacing was incredible. I never felt bogged down from the dual time story like I sometimes do.

I loved Jesse. He was by no means perfect, but I was really impressed with him.

I was so broken hearted for Alex. She was dealt a really rough hand in life. I really thought her resilience came through the pages of the book perfectly.

This plot grabs you and never lets go. It was quite interesting  to see how everything unfolded. Some parts I figured out and some parts really surprised me.

I'll definitely be finishing this series!

Technically a re read and my first novel by K.A Tucker.

This is unlike any of her other books in the best possible way.

One of my favourite Jane Doe stories.

This book becomes more than just surviving Domestic Violence. It becomes about friendship, found family and finding yourself. Those ties are proven to be the source of strength you can rely on when you’re at your lowest.
