I loved first book, but found sequel lacking. Characters and plot become messy and that ending is a choice. Anyways I'm waiting for Seryu duology.

Wonderful conclusion to this duology! I didn’t enjoy this book QUITE as much as the first as it did have a few spots I felt were a bit slow but it’s SUCH a good story with wonderful characters and a strong (and strong willed) female lead. Really so much happens in this book, starting in the depths of the sea in the sea dragons kingdom to a far off rocky island and the depths of a mountain we really get to experience so much of her world with her as she defies all to seize her destiny and save her people and family.

I really enjoyed reading this duology and the prequel! Entertaining from start to finish. I did cry a lot throughout this journey 🥲

A little long towards the end but still very good. I love Takkan and it's a love I can't help but profess. "I've missed the sound of you." ... you got me swooning my dude.The ending left me undecided, it is a tad sour but also beautiful, so I don't know how to feel about it.
