This was recommended to me and I am glad I read it. It was a good thriller and had me guessing and trying to find the link to it all. The story gave that link and it was a nice twist. I felt I was right there along with Shay trying to survive. There is some trigger warnings.

I had expected more of this book. I liked it enough to finish it, but didn't love it. Shay witnesses the suicide of a young woman, which has shaken her up. Shay is obsessed with data and wants to know more about who the young woman was. I liked Shay and her statistics. Her investigation leads her to meet a group of woman. This is where the book turns strange and confusing.

I knew it would be a one star book from the moment a 31 year old woman from NYC said she didn’t know what a Moscow mule was, had never seen one, and then described every single ingredient. No matter the twist (which still wasn’t great) there was no coming back from that.

I’ll still read anything this duo comes out with, but 2/3 have been duds for me so far sooo...until next time!

I enjoyed this book - it wasn't groundbreaking or mind blowing, but it was enjoyable. Although the main character is incredibly frustrating (the number of times I just said "you dumbass" to her while I read) & there's a romance subplot that goes exactly nowhere & has literally no purpose, it was still a fun thriller and an easy, engaging read.
