THE LETTER!!!
My only complaint would be that Austen included so few interactions between Anne and Frederick before the last few chapters, that we have to sort of take her word for it that they're well suited? Of course I appreciate the yearning/angsty aspect of the mutual pining, but there just wasn't enough Wentworth for me. Nevertheless! I adored this! Austen's satire through her character writing is on a completely different level to any other author. Also I enjoyed the dick joke

I fucking cried
« You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. »

Tied with Pride and Prejudice for my all-time favorite Jane Austen story, Persuasion is a wonderful and heart-wrenching novel, of lost and unrequited love! Anne Elliot is one of the most mature and and thoughtful characters that I have ever read and I relate to her and her sense of integrity very much! Simply stated, Persuasion is an all time favorite and usually one of the lesser read Austen novels, which in my opinion is a shame, because I think it's one of the greatest that Austen ever wrote and has one of the most engaging heart felt love stories that I have ever read!
It also doesn't hurt that Captain Wentworth is a complete dream-boat and one of the best male love interests ever written (comparable only with Mr. Darcy himself!)

I can see why people really like it, but romance isn't really my genre!
Publishing review 7/10: Vintage Classics 2007
I liked the font and spacing but the paper quality is not my favourite. It is the scratchy type, but not too scratchy and still slightly smooth to not be annoying. The paper thickness made me feel like I was progressing quick quickly though the book. The cover is alright, I don't think it matches the book's themes very well. I hate the smell of this book.
