Yeah don’t hate me, this is my PERSONAL opinion, but it just wasn’t my jam. To be fair, I think straight romance novels aren’t my jam. There were parts where I was locked in and parts where I didn’t know what was going on and had to use spark notes

Jane Eyre is one of my all time favourite stories and everytime I read it I love Jane even more.
The book follows her life from young childhood to later life and every challenge she endures along the way.
Whilst it is classified as classic, Charlotte Bronte did not shy away from making a scathing commentary on her generations attitude towards the class system, womens inequality, mental health, child endangerment and religion.
Jane is a survivor and what's more incredible, she retains the truth of who she ultimately is throughout. She doesn't waver in her own convictions and is rewarded with the ending she absolutely deserves.
