I just love these books. I really like that they take place in Nanaimo, BC. The only thing that I would change is if there weren't so many perspectives because it sometimes makes the book a bit confusing with all the shifts, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

I didn't think I could possibly like a book as much as I enjoyed "Home to Woefield" when I read it last summer. But then I read "Republic of Dirt." If you are like me, this book may feel as though it was literally written for you.
