Enjoyed this book SO much. I loved reading this because of the powerful vision of an anarchist world, and the general messaging that we cannot be going forward with a certain vision of utopia as a specific goal, but instead must always be trying to bring anarchist ideas and praxis into our world. The depictions of collective decision-making were also really interesting and great, and gave me some new and fun ideas on process.

In the afterword, the author says “this is not a blueprint.” And the book is most successful to me when I agree with that point. At times it can feel a bit didactic. But by the same turn, I stayed up considerably later than I should have to finish it. So it was that compelling.

I found this book pretty fascinating--I loved the Gulliver's Travels sequel narrative style, and I think it served as a good vessel for conversations about mutual aid and anarchist lifestyles and philosophies. While I enjoyed the book a lot, I honestly thought the author's note at the end was the most interesting part--if she ever writes an autobiography, I'm there with bells on!

This book made anarchism seem so much more accessible. I'm so happy I have something I can pass to people who have no idea what an anarchist model might look like. Engaging and fast paced.
