I was unable to read this. It grinds on and on, and thinks its very witty. It's a bore.
It is hard to give a review to one of his books. I really enjoyed it, I'm glad I listened to it, and I am saddened that he is gone and can not write any more books.
I went through a strange dry spell where I couldn't seem to pick up a book and keep any interest in it. Six books fell by the wayside, losing me after a chapter or two, then seven. And then this one dropped into my lap, a random find in a thrift store in Austin. And I discovered that I hadn't lost the ability to enjoy reading, after all. It's a silly romp with some serious bits at its core...but not too serious. Also, I read this book in the nude, in Mr. Jones' honor.

Jones nailed the Adams voice in this one. I read it when it first came out and it was great then, still great now. The jokes are unique and there's a pay off from the repetition of certain ones. A great way to get more H2G2 in your life.

Funny book :) only 1/2 as good as Douglas adams' work, but amusing still.

Pretty atrocious book. It's just a collection of dumb scenes without any relationship to one another, or without any payoff. The characters are unlikable and the plot points are continuously resolved via ex machina. I only finished reading it because it was short.
I don't know what I expected but it exceeded whatever my expectations were.
I found this pretty entertaining, a lot of thought has been put into making the starship as bad as possible. Some good laughs in this, the first terry Jones book I have read.
