This was a pretty awesome book. The plot was very nicely developed, though the insta-attraction and desire thing was a bit too ridiculous for me.

I feel, as Grateful does, that the relationship between her and Rick moved way-too-freaking-fast. It was sweet and entirely sexy, but also so heartbreaking since Rick seemed unable to let go of his love for a memory of what Grateful used to be in another life, and Grateful was unwilling to completely give into her confusing feelings for the sexy Caretaker.

What the future holds in store for them, as well as the pining Logan, I can't wait to find out. I'm sure it will be just as strained and eventful as this first book. More awaits, and I have a feeling that Grateful's boy-drama is about to become the very least of her worries.

This book had a few strong moments, but it was overshadowed by the weak writing. Some of the dialogue felt stunted or rehearsed, and the story trailed on far past the climax. I understand there were elements that still needed to be wrapped up before the conclusion, but most of what occurred after the showdown with the big baddie would have contributed more to the overall story if it had happened beforehand.

My favorite part, however, was the main character's strength of conviction. She is a believable twenty-two-year-old, and more than that, she has an admirable backbone. Despite her (unrealistic) desire to drag Rick off to the bedroom every time he joins a scene, she still refuses to marry him because they barely know each other, she knows she has a bad habit of rushing into things, and she isn't comfortable with marrying anyone yet. Her refusal to bow to either of the men wooing her is wonderful to watch, and was almost enough to hold my attention for the duration of the book. Overall, however, I'm glad I got a free ebook version of "The Ghost and the Graveyard" from barnesandnoble.com, and I won't be purchasing or reading the sequel.

It was a good book with an interesting plot and characters. For me, it wasn't interesting enough to be a four star. I caught myself losing interest through the book but forced myself to continue. Id regain my interest only to lose it again. I would not recommend it because it did not curl my toes like other books have. I don't recommend books that don't have my full attention and heart.

I liked the story well enough, though the characters weren’t fleshed out very well. The thing I hated was how the “heroine” always lost control around Rick. This isn’t realistic, and it’s insulting. Just because a guy is hot doesn’t mean a woman will lose all control of her faculties and drop her pants.
