As a November 2024 read I was hoping for more actionable instructions on fighting a fascist regime IRL but I’ll still take it

Exciting second book, more secrets revealed. Good set up for the third book, but still a lot of action.

I just finished this after devouring the final 300 pages today! This is sooooo good and it makes me so so sad that more people are not reading this series due to Lots of Reader Issues a couple years ago with The Black Witch. BUT ANYWAYS, The Iron Flower is such a fantastically beautiful book and so many SHOCKERS that I was dumbfounded. Laurie Forest really just blew it out the water with this one, so so so great and I can't wait till it's released into the world <3

If I had to read or hear “oh holy ancient one” one more time I was going to lose it. Get it together Elloren.

I want to see where the love triangle goes.

Elloren needs to steel herself and gain character momentum. Not as strong as the first book but enjoyable enough to continue the series.

Damn this book was good. If you read book one and felt uncomfortable by it, then I can tell you that book two delivers recompense for anything you found unsatisfactory in book one. Each book seems to get better and better as it unravels the problems that society has in the book/world and then presents solutions and people who are willing to rectify them. It's not for the faint of heart - but it may just be for you!

Uff! What a ride.
Also passt es durchaus.
