The writing was so choppy. Just two or three word sentences for half a page. No flow. It was just not for me as I could not get lost in the story with the writing.

emotional hopeful inspiring mysterious fast-paced

Trent and Eden had a spark from the beginning. She saw the light in his darkness. And she made his darkness come to light. The twist at the end I didn’t see coming which made the book even better. Great love story sometimes seeing past people past can be for the best. Love sometimes has a mind of its own.

DNF - Got to 44% in November of 2022

This was super insta-lusty and the MMC is a straight up creep. Sorry. Yes there are asshole characters you can still root for but he is not one. His vibes are all off and on top of that, he's so annoying and repetitive. Not a fan of the style of writing either. It was so dramatic at every single moment for no reason and the amount of missing words, repeated words, and fragment sentences drove me crazy (not a lack of editing, that was the chosen style). I might have finished this is I didn't pause my KU subscription, but now that I've stopped I know I won't be redownloading it in the future.
