The first half dragged a bit but from like 60% I was hooked!

One thing I know I will get when it comes to an A.L. Jackson book is the depth of emotions that bleed throughout the pages. With Give Me A Reason, it is there, ten fold. I found myself wrapped up into this world that Jackson has created that has so many facets. I adored Eden and her determination to help her father, the school and so much more. She has more grit than she gives herself credit for. Then you have Trent who sees her light even though he feels he is covered in darkness. But my heart. Oh Trent is everything and more when it comes to his family. Gage is adorable and just adds so much to the story.
There is an amazing level of twists and turns that will keep you on your toes throughout this story and I am here for it. Jackson gives us the right amount of suspense wrapped up into this love story and I could not get enough. As things played out, you can feel that raw emotion build between Eden and Trent and so much more. This is a epic start to a new series and I am dying to see what is to come!

my heart may never recover from this suspense filled romance. wow what a ride!

My heart may never recover from this suspense filled romance. Wow what a ride!

This is not a light read; Trent and Eden’s story grabs you by the throat right away. Then we have adorable little Gage and well, my heart has been stolen and I may never get it back.

I do love a morally grey character and we have that for sure with Trent. Then we have a woman who has to dig deep for her strength over and over again because she’s determined to help her father with his financial problems and she’s never met anyone like Trent. Tattooed, emanating darkness from past sins, but so protective and loving to his son, Gage. Eden is drawn to him even though he tells her he’s a monster and she should run far away from him.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this story and the revelation at the end made me gasp - didn’t see THAT coming. If you enjoy romance with a bad boy and good girl, definite HEAT, plus a little boy that will melt your heart in a puddle, this book is for you!

I am PLEASANTLY surprise by how much I really started to enjoyed this?! It’s also my first introduction to the author and her writing. First, you have to check this out if you love single parent, romance with a suspenseful subplot, and so much more. I thought the opposites attract was nicely done and that even though this is a romance it kept me guessing and twisted us up in certain parts. The contrast was fantastic and I really enjoyed the authors writing. Plus the characters were so good! They definitely get you to root for them. You should definitely check this one out!!

Thank you to verve romance for this copy!

I’ve read a lot of AL Jackson and she tends to write flowery prose but this was the first book that it really distracted me. Too much energy and shockwaves crashing…what does that even mean?!?!

Regardless, the story was good enough to hold my attention. Gage was the cutest. All in all, a decent read and I’ll definitely read Jud and Logan’s stories.

absolutely no depth in the story or the characters and the storyline was so jumbled. Written and thought out so poorly.

So much angst, lots of emotions, twists and turns. Eden and Trent's story will consume you, taking you captive. An excellent book with an amazing storyline. Loved every bit of this story.
