Trent and Eden, two complete opposites who find themselves wrapped in this tug war of staying away yet craving each other attraction. When Eden shows up at Trent’s club refusing to leave until she gets the interview she was promised, he knew she didn’t belong, but he loved the fierceness and innocence of his “kitten”. Trent thinks his past defines him, makes him a monster that doesn’t deserve any good in this world so he keeps his distance as much as he can from Eden yet there is something about her that keeps drawing him back in. The push and pull between them is so tangible you can feel it in your bones while reading it. Eden is all that is good in this world, she loves hard, works hard, and believes in forgiveness and redemption where Trent thinks his demons will always haunt him, so he doesn’t deserve her. I don’t want to give too much away because this story is unique and epic in its own way. I loved the brothers, everything they worked hard for, the love they had, and the way they always had each other’s backs. At times the descriptions on some pages were repetitive or too much that I had to go back and make sure I was reading what I thought that it became distracting at times but once I got to it, I was fine. There is so many feelings in this story that I loved and kept me on the edge waiting for the shoe to drop and when it did, I surprised by some things yet guessed the others. Overall, this was a great start to a series I know I am going to love and can’t wait to see what is in store for us next.
Give Me a Reason is the first book I read by A.L Jackson, but it most certainly will not be my last. I loved this book; it gave you all the feels. This book is a single dad, enemies to lovers romance that you need to read.
Trent and his son Gage and Eden, I loved them! These two opposites cannot fight the chemistry between them no matter how hard they fought it, and let me tell you, they tried.
"I'd taint her. Soil her. But God knew I was itching to get dirty."
Eden is a teacher by day and needs a part-time job at night to make some quick cash to help her dad out. Trent hires her but, he's a little hesitant at first but gives her a shot. They have the most insane chemistry instantly. Eden is broken and deals with a lot of personal pain, but she never lets anyone see it. Trent has been through hell and back and is trying to do right because of his son Gage. Gage is the apple of his eye, and he does everything to protect his son. Trent has some skeletons in his past that soon catch up to him. While all this is going on, Eden and Trent try to fight their feelings for each other. The story has surprising twists and turns, making the reader fall more in love with the main characters.
"He's your wild card." My brow curled. "The one you didn't expect. The one you couldn't have anticipated. The one you could love so much, you're afraid to try. The ace. The winning number."
A.L. Jackson has a way with words, and she wrote a remarkably emotional and heart-wrenching love story. I am excited to see what the following books in the Redemption Hills series bring, focusing on Trent's brothers.
"I think the back of my bike might be exactly where you belong."

Really great characters. I loved this bad boy single dad hero. I just struggled with the overly descriptive writing.

This book would have been a 4 star book for me if it didn’t have so many grammar issues. Seemed like it needed some major editing. But the story was really good!
I received an arc for a honest review.
I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! That twist got me really good. I totally shed a few tears!
FULL RTC.

Eden is in need of extra money because of family obligations.
Trent takes one look at Eden and he is sunk, but he doesn’t want to be because he is dealing with his past.
They can’t seem to stay away from each other though. Their attraction is too palpable, but they have to because she is his son’s teacher and now his newest employee.
The tension and sexual chemistry is off the charts and when it explodes look out.
I enjoyed any scene where Trents little boy Gage was in it. He stole the show for sure.
The narration was fantastic.

THIS SERIES MAY BE MY ENTIRE PERSONALITY FROM THIS POINT FORWARD. AND I'M NOT EVEN SORRY.
I absolutely love Amy and her writing and I had been told that I needed to immediately download the audios for this series...and they did NOT disappoint. I flew through them in about a day a piece and I'm forever changed.
Jumping up and down with how much I love this entire series and these brothers.
