Great story through the eyes of a young girl and her new found knowledge of the existence of her uncle. Fabulous writing of a difficult subject--mental illness.

Quick read with a not-so-easy subject. It’s been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

I could have went my whole life without reading it. I can appreciate the subject matter, but the writing wasn't anything extraordinary. Maybe if I had read this book when I was 12, I would have rated 4 stars. Then again, when I was 12 I was reading 500 page books, so it's unlikely.
