This is my third book by Heather Webber. They are all sweet, sappy love stories with a bit of magic intertwined.

I can always count on Heather Webber to deliver heartwarming, swing-up family stories full of brokenness and redemption. This one is no different, though it was a bit lighter I thought than some of her others, and offered a little more magic than realism. Nevertheless I enjoyed it to the last page. I love characters I can root for who get the endings they deserve.

As soon as I knew this book was coming out I knew I had to have it. There was no doubt in my mind that Heather Webber would produce another touching, wonderfully written book just like the previous two of hers that I have read. Following the mending of hearts and the Scott family as a whole broke my heart, made me laugh, and filled my heart with a love that only Heather Webber knows how to invoke. Cracks in a family foundation take patience, love, and a little magic to mend which shines through in this novel. Heather Webber knows how to capture the small town southernness that I have known and loved my entire life as a small town southern girl. Beliefs and stories passed down through generations give us our magic and deep rooted love for our roots. If you have not read Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe or South of the Buttonwood Tree I highly suggest you get them because you will not be disappointed.
