This charming, cozy, down-to-earth story had just enough magical realism to make me believe in the power of wishes. Full of small town Southern charm and a smidge of magically whimsy, THE LIGHTS OF SUGARBERRY COVE is a heartwarming story about second chances and finding your way back home. Even if home isn't what you expected it to be. The characters were well developed, the writing was imaginative and the story was easy to get lost in.

Such a great story. Leala and Sadie are sisters who had unresolved family trauma/ drama. When their mother has a heart attack and they come home to run the B&B, a little “lake magic” makes for an incredible story of family, love, and hope. That’s life.
"People see what they want to see. Always have, always will." ~Yep!
A bit too sappy, yet also charming. I enjoyed it.

3.5 rounded to Four. This book was cute, very little magical realism until near the end which I enjoyed. A little disappointed at times w the Mom but I think that was the point. I enjoyed Balckbird café more but still hope to read Buttonwood Tree as well
I enjoyed the magical hallmark vibes of this book. It was emotional and beautiful. The look into reflecting as we mature really brought tears to my eyes. I loved the family dynamic and community aspect.
