I've enjoyed every other Heather Webber book but I DNFd this one. Just boring characters and not much happening. Oh well.
3.5 stars. I enjoyed this. I had previously read [b:Midnight at the Blackbird Café|41556079|Midnight at the Blackbird Café|Heather Webber|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551124496l/41556079._SY75_.jpg|64836570] and really loved it. I think this had a bit of drawing out and repetition that I didn't like. I enjoyed the characters, and the author paints a beautiful picture of family, with all its hurts and hopes. The side characters felt like family as well and I enjoyed their interactions.

This was such a sweet read, so warm and comforting. I loved it. It's all about family, the ups and downs, the said and unsaid, the secrets and hidden truths, and finding yourself within your family.
Sadie Way and Leala Clare's mom has had a minor heart attack and despite their distance and family issues, they both run back to her side to help her and run her little inn on a magical lake in Sugarberry Cove. While there all the hurt that drove them away from their mother and each other plays out with a wonderful cast of supporters.
Honestly, this book has a few sad moments and the saddest moment (which I won't spoil) ends more magically than I could have expected. This is a definite feel-good book.
