Read the first story and it was so bad I don't want to waste time on any more of it.

This was awful. I kept reading hoping that the rest of the stories would be better than the first but alas they were all awful, confusing, and weirdly fixated on religion. I wouldn’t call any of the three stories “horror”. First and most likely last time I’ll read anything from this author.

The first story in this collection completely hooked me. Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke is unhinged in the best way—dark, graphic, and disturbingly intimate. Zoe is an absolute sadist, and Agnes is so lost and desperate for connection that she’ll do anything to feel wanted. Watching their toxic dynamic unfold was like watching a slow-motion car crash—horrifying, but impossible to look away from. Both characters are clearly unstable, and that makes their spiral into psychological and physical horror feel disturbingly real.
The other two stories (The Enchantment and You’ll Find It’s Like That All Over) were just okay for me. They had interesting ideas, but they didn’t hit nearly as hard. They felt more conceptual and a little dull by comparison.
Still, I really enjoyed the collection overall. It delivers on body horror and gore, and I love this kind of weird, experimental horror that doesn’t pull its punches. If you’re into disturbing stories about human obsession and decay—both emotional and physical—this is for
